An 800 sq. ft. daylight basement in a 1932 brick Tudor home was transformed into a bright, fully wheelchair accessible ADU, designed to feel open and functional within a compact space. The layout was shaped by existing structural constraints and enhanced with improved insulation, ductless systems, and new egress windows that bring in natural light.
The design prioritizes accessibility and ease of use, with a fully functional kitchen, a wet room-style bathroom, and an open living area balanced by clearly defined private spaces. Durable, low-maintenance materials and thoughtful lighting create an interior that feels practical, cohesive, and inviting.
